Position Overview

We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Senior Cloud Security Architect to become an integral part of our IT division. This position necessitates an extensive understanding of cloud computing technologies and services, particularly focusing on Amazon Web Services (AWS), along with compliance and regulatory oversight. The ideal candidate will possess a demonstrated history of architecting and implementing secure cloud infrastructures that adhere to the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) and other essential regulatory compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and oversee secure cloud architectures specifically tailored for the AWS environment.
  • Steer the organization’s cloud security strategies and implementations, ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Conduct comprehensive security assessments, risk evaluations, and vulnerability analyses to identify and address potential security threats.
  • Formulate and uphold security policies, standards, and procedures in alignment with FedRAMP and other compliance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with IT and development teams to seamlessly integrate security controls into existing workflows and technologies.
  • Provide expert advice on cloud security best practices, risk management, and compliance strategies.
  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud security professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay abreast of emerging security technologies and cloud trends, applying this knowledge to enhance the organization’s security posture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years dedicated to cloud security architecture, preferably within AWS.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cloud security frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements including FedRAMP, DFARS/CMMC/NIST, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
  • Strong experience with AWS security tools and services such as IAM, Security Groups, VPC, KMS, CloudTrail, and AWS Config.
  • Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Security Specialty, CISSP, or CISM are highly preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of guiding cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
