What You'll Do
Reporting to the Director of People, Culture, and Communications, US & Canada, you will be supporting our various business verticals on all things "people". This role encompasses all aspects of the employee life cycle. From onboarding to talent development to performance management, you will leverage your passion for people and knowledge of HR best practices to support our ICs and people leaders in achieving results, while maintaining a high-performance and engaging culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist with processing bi-weekly payroll for employees, including processing bonuses and commissions, tax adjustments, benefit contributions, HRIS workflow approvals, and any other pay-related changes or adjustments and serve as a point of contact for our employees regarding these subjects
- Serve as a point of contact for all employees for questions regarding onboarding, offboarding, payroll, taxes, benefits, HRIS, leaves of absence, and any other related People Operations topics; support other global locations as needed
- Maintain employee records/personnel files from onboarding to termination, processing actions in the HRIS platform and overseeing the employee change process from approvals to data entry; complete regular data quality reviews and audits to help drive process improvements
- Support all necessary tasks related to administering benefits offerings, partner with external providers to reconcile benefit contributions and premiums
- Support the integration & implementation of HR systems, policies, SOPs, and audits to ensure all individuals and processes are in compliance with applicable regulations; leverage expertise with employment laws to make recommendations to the People team on HR operations & policy matters
- Build custom reports for leadership related to payroll expenses, commissions, headcount, and other business needs; regularly monitor data cleanliness of HRIS platform, flagging and correcting system issues in real-time to ensure consistently clean data
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights in HR data to inform decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management (or related field) or equivalent experience, and/or SHRM/PHR certification preferred; Payroll and Benefits certifications are a plus
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including payroll, employee relations, leaves & accommodations, talent & performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws; comfortable with providing strategic guidance to managers and individual contributors
- 2+ years' experience in an HR Generalist role in a high-growth, multinational environment; 2+ years demonstrated HRIS experience required (ADP and Deel experience is a plus)
- 2+ years' experience overseeing multi-state payroll and benefits required; professional certification in Payroll and Benefits, strong understanding of benefits & payroll regulations and taxes (ADP and Deel experience is a plus), and Canada payroll/benefits experience are a plus
- Ability to work Pacific Time hours M-F; this role will primarily support teams that sit out of the West Coast region who are generally online from 8a-6p PT
- Ability to work from our Los Angeles (90045) office at least 4 days per week; flexibility to travel to local LA-Area offices regularly (e.g., Gardena, DTLA, Topanga) and other West Coast offices on occasion
- Proficiency in business-level English and Spanish is necessary
