Description

Position Summary: Supports the Human Resources Department of the organization to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the new employee orientation and onboarding process. Assists the Human Resources Director with scheduling, organizing, and conducting new employee orientations and training. Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation. Explain personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants. Examine employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions. Interview job applicants to obtain and verify information used to screen and evaluate them. Process and review employment applications to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants. Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment. Select applicants meeting specified job requirements and refer them to hiring personnel. Arrange for advertising or posting of job vacancies and notify eligible workers of position availability.

Requirements

Qualifications: Has at least an associate degree in office technologies or equivalent and related on-the-job experience required. A minimum of 2 years' experience as HR Assistant, or in an administrative support role.

  • Full comprehension of office management systems and procedures, particularly Microsoft Office. Strong computer and Internet research skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload in order to meet deadlines.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including reporting and presentation skills.
  • Organization
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.


Salary Description

$40,000 to $50,000
