The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) SAP Basis Analyst role in Eli Lilly's ERP Services Digital Platforms organization is responsible for developing and maintaining global ERP applications. SAP is Lilly's backbone for global commerce and trade and Lilly's entire supply chain. The individual in this position is anticipated to have expertise in SAP technology and develop a deep understanding of the associated business processes at Lilly.

Basis Analyst responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, maintaining, tuning and troubleshooting in the multi-tier, highly available Lilly SAP landscape for government regulated systems. Through collaboration across business process and technical teams you will design and develop efficient and durable processes and solutions to achieve business outcomes.

How You Will Succeed:

• Be forward thinking and innovative with respect to using various SAP technologies which will help improve the user experience.

• Lead, manage and participate in day-to-day operations, enhancements and projects.

• Experience with AWS cloud and understanding of the SAP Cloud Platform.

• Enhance top-tier architecture through an extensive understanding of SQL Server best practices.

• Execute SAP Basis administration in a Windows/SQL Server environment and find/implement continuous improvement projects.

• Collaborate with global, regional and business partners to understand business processes and priorities and sponsor these business requirements with SAP functional and architecture staff.

• Understand business impact, quantify resources and evaluate/recommend technical options.

• Partner with the business to assess and define requirements and drive the development of business cases and system solutions.

• Capture and analyze system event logs and performance stats to pinpoint system issues.

• Configure IIS and setup SAML/SSO.

• Schedule/execute the SAP transport system to meet the information technology and business requirements for Lilly's SAP S/4 HANA cloud environment

Your Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree
  • High level of experience working with database triggers.
  • High level of experience writing SQL queries and scripts to automate system activities and to troubleshoot system issues.
  • At least 2 years' experience in SAP BASIS Administration and Linux.
  • At least 2 years of ITIL based IT support with experience in ITIL processes: Incident Management, Problem Management and Change Management.
  • At least 1 years of experience and understanding of a mature IT Quality system and legal, regulatory, data privacy circumstances in which the Company operates.
What You Should Bring:
  • Proven ability to embrace a growth mindset: view challenges as opportunities to expand skills.
  • Experience working in a government regulated industry (i.e. FDA, FAA, etc).
  • Scripting experience with Tools such as Python, PowerShell or JAVA.
  • SAP BW on HANA.
  • SAP HANA platform operations.
  • SAP S4 HANA implementation experience.
  • Familiarity with SOx regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both tactical and strategic levels.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated technical learning agility.'
  • Understanding of IT testing concepts and experience with IT testing tools.
  • High level of comfort working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Communicate effectively with both IT functional resources and non-IT functional resources.

  • Position is based in Indianapolis on a hybrid work schedule
  • 0-10% travel
