The CDC Foundation seeks a full time Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis to provide overall finance support and work closely with senior business leadership to help formulate and refine the strategy and financial projections for the business. This role will support the financial health, forecasting, planning, and budgeting, management and performance reporting, and data analysis for the Foundation. This position works closely with senior management to increase efficiency and profitability by assisting with the formulation of financial plans.

Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum of 7 years of relevant analytical experience
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or a related field
    • Significant analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills including building models, and data mining, and the utilization of reporting tools
    • Able to solve, document, and communicate complex problems simply
    • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
    • Excellent written communication skills.
    • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
    • Advanced computer software skills, including writing macros in Excel and other
    • Professional qualification such as CA or CPA or CFA preferred.
    • Advanced Computer literacy in Microsoft Office environment and financial applications; experience writing macros in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce and other software applications
    • NetSuite and Adaptive insights prior experience highly preferred
    • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
    • Adaptable to various competing demands and able to direct team accordingly
    • Demonstrate the highest level of client service and response for all constituencies within their assigned areas of responsibility
    • Demonstrated ability to drive a team to achieve high performance goals while multi-tasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks next challenge and proposes solutions.
    • Excellent management skills, including organizational and time management skills.
    • Proven track record of consistently meeting and developing challenging performance metrics
    • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of federal regulations (specifically 2CFR200)
Responsibilities
    • Working closely with the leadership team to formulate financial plans
    • Work with business leaders to build annual budgets and monthly forecasts
    • Delivery of analysis, trends and associated commentary to the Leadership team
    • Analyzing financial and operational results to better understand company performance
    • Provide detailed analysis and commentary on financial results
    • Preparing business cases to support strategic business decisions
    • Reviewing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts
    • Evaluating previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement improved future budgets and forecasting with monthly reviews
    • Communicating results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to effective cost management, revenue generation and streamlining operations
    • Provide insights to senior management around financial modelling, forecasts, and profitability
    • Monitor and report on variances between estimated and actuals for each grant within their area of responsibility
    • Gather and analyze data to attribute indirect and direct costs to individual customers
    • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by gathering, analyzing, and challenging data on forecasted revenues and expenses
    • Track and analyze data on successful and unsuccessful proposals/opportunities to help inform future pricing decisions
    • Assist with preparation of quarterly reports to the board of directors
    • Review monthly program reconciliations to identify potential errors and omissions
    • Assist with a variety of ad hoc financial analysis projects
    • Develop and support Budget Analysts within their area of responsibility
    • Develop, produce, and track key metrics and other financial indicators through processes and KPI dashboards while determining the appropriate cadence and audience
    • Other duties as assigned
