The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resource department. This position is a full time, 40 hours per week position, and reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1 year previous human resource experience preferred
  • Previous experience in ADP or other HRIS preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs as well as other computer programs required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including communication, writing, and organization required.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR Department.
  • Performs routine tasks required to support human resource programs including but not limited assisting employee inquiries, applicant inquiries, and other daily tasks and functions in HR office
  • Maintain HRIS system to include new hires, positions, schedules, and EEO1 Compliance and master staff list, and reports
  • Coordinates new hire onboarding appointments and follows through new hire onboarding experience
  • Manages all badge requests for employees, contracted staff, volunteers, and providers.
  • Assists HR Director in conducting stay interviews, exit interviews, and engagement surveys.
  • Assists HR Director in Union Negations
  • Maintain confidential personnel records for employees and contracted staff
  • Process employment verifications and garnishments
  • Review and track compliance of competencies and evaluations
  • Assists new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Attend seminars, workshops and professional affiliation meetings as required.
  • Promote good employee relations and interdepartmental relations
  • Gather statistical data and reports as assigned
  • Maintain office supplies and paperwork outside HR Office and in electronic programs
  • The individual will be cross trained to multiple areas within the HR Department.
