Description Location: UCHealth UCHlthMG S Ortho, US:CO:Colorado Springs Department: UCHlthMG S Ortho FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $20.26 - $26.34 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Coordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling. Responsibilities: Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs. Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, surgeon, staff and equipment. Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments. Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements: Credentials: Other information: Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Required Licensure/Certification: Relevant life support certification as determined at position level. Minimum Experience: None required. IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
