Advanced Practice Provider

The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant takes patient history, examines, orders diagnostic tests, prescribes, counsels/educates patients, and promotes/delivers quality patient care in family practice setting. The NP or PA is committed to promoting the health potential of the patient (body-mind-spirit). Demonstrates ability to delegate appropriately and direct staff in the coordination and delivery of care; assumes responsibility for the appropriate utilization of care resources; demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with others in problem resolution, is sensitive to the needs of patients, families, and fellow employees
Qualifications
Current California State License as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is required
Completion of an accredited NP or PA program.
Completion of clinical preceptorship or at least 1 year of experience required.
BLS within one month of hire and on-going
Interpersonal skills necessary in order to instruct/comfort patients/families; to maintain effective communication/contact with healthcare team members
Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Internet
Computer software programs related to EMR.
8:00 am - 6:00 pm
Shifts may vary based on clinic
