Flight Paramedic Specialist

As a Flight Paramedic with REACH Air Medical Services, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and transportation services to patients in need. Our team of air transportation experts is dedicated to delivering safe and efficient patient care, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in an ALS or critical care setting, with a strong background in advanced life support care. You will be responsible for providing pre-hospital and intra-hospital care to patients, maintaining thorough patient care documentation, and participating in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills.

• Completion and submission of electronic patient care records within specified time frames
• Daily base checks, including narcotic counts
• Pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care
• Maintenance of documentation for licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures
• Knowledge of equipment and supplies used by emergency programs
• Maintenance of positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public
• Functioning as a medical flight member
• Attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefing
• Assistance with pre-mission liftoff checklist and pilot assistance
• Compliance with safety standards to ensure safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment

• Minimum of three years experience in an ALS or critical care setting
• Flight experience preferred
• Ability to maintain a weight limit of 230lb with gear
• Current EMT-P license/certification in states served by the assigned area
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status
• Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 12 months from date of hire
