We are currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support Technician to join our team. This position will be primarily based at our production facility in Cleveland, OH.

Position Overview: As an IT Support Technician at National Safety Apparel, Inc., you will play a crucial role in providing technical support to our employees and maintaining the IT infrastructure at our production facilities. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with network setup and maintenance, and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to evolving IT needs.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Provide tier 1 helpdesk for all Cleveland based employees.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade computer systems and software, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of production-related equipment and software.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights, ensuring adherence to security policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular system audits and implement security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for hardware and software procurement, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Document IT processes, procedures, and troubleshooting guides for internal reference.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in IT support, recommending improvements and implementing best practices.
Shop Floor Control focused functions:
  • Configure and install SFC tablets and displays throughout the production floor.
  • Enroll and maintain Android tablets and policies in Meraki mobile device management system.
  • Troubleshoot issues relating to the SFC device profiles, settings, and configurations.  Research, test, and implement solutions.
  • Build an intricate knowledge of the integrations between the SFC system, payroll and ERP systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders of the SFC system at other facilities.

Training: Provided on the job

Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an IT support role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and user account management.
  • Basic knowledge of hardware troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit or stand for duration of work day and complete heavy computer work.  Must be able to occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions: Temperature-controlled office and production environments.  Occasional travel may be required.
