ERP Deployment Lead

Skillset / Experience:
We are seeking an experienced Deployment Lead to oversee the successful rollouts of our ERP solution, with a particular focus on modules related to Accounting and Finance. This role is starting as a 6-9 month contract position, during which the Deployment Lead will manage the first two deployment waves and then transition responsibilities to company employees.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish deployment methodologies and milestones to ensure a smooth and efficient rollout process.
  • Ensure deployment activities support a repeatable process for future scaling efforts.
  • Coordinate and manage deployment tasks across key functional teams, including:
    • Data Preparation and Migration: Oversee data readiness and migration activities to ensure accurate and timely data transfer.
    • Organizational Change and Training: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive training programs and manage change within the organization to support a smooth transition.
    • Master Data and Security Management: Ensure the setup of organizational master data (e.g., Company Codes, Cost Centers, Locations) and oversee security role management and user assignments.
  • Manage the first two deployment waves covering a large number of operational centers.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, status reports, and executive dashboards.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings and communicate effectively with C-level executives and stakeholders.
  • Ensure all deployment activities are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Transition deployment lead responsibilities to company employees after the initial deployment phases.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience leading multiple large-scale ERP deployments, including:
    • Developing and implementing repeatable, effective, and efficient deployment methodologies.
    • Managing large-scale deployments and transitions in complex organizational environments.
    • Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and manage detailed project plans.
  • A servant leadership mindset that focuses on team success, including:
    • Building confidence with teams through partnership and alignment to the proposed deployment methodology.
    • Ensuring success by seeking buy-in early and often.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored to the audience, focusing on needs, target outcomes, and decisions.
  • Functional and technical knowledge to complement deployment execution, including:
    • Experience in data migration technologies and practices for data collection, transformation, validation, and load processes at significant scale for ERP systems.
    • Understanding of ERP modules related to Accounting and Finance, such as financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and order-to-cash processes.
    • Certifications demonstrating competency to support ERP deployments.
    • Strong educational background in finance, technology, or a related field.
