What are we looking for?

Someone that is energetic, passionate about people, and doesn't mind a little hard work. As the face of the Museum volunteer program, this person would ideally be very outgoing, be highly organized, and have a proven history of positive leadership. Schedule flexibility and the willingness to work weekends and some holidays is a must.

What does a day look like in this position?

This person will wear many hats, but most importantly, make sure that our volunteers are taken care of. Our Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for learning many tasks such as (but not limited to):

• Maintaining all volunteer records and communications through Volgistics (volunteer management software)

• Recruiting and onboarding new volunteers for the Museum

• Executing timely delivery of rewards to volunteers per the guidelines in our volunteer reward program

• Coordinating with all museum departments about various volunteer needs and working to fill them appropriately

Requirements

As a Coordinator, this person would be responsible for working independently and must be a self-starter. However, we are all part of the same team, and we all pitch in when there is work to be done.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position that is primarily scheduled Monday-Friday, but flexibility in scheduling is always appreciated.
