Your day as a Case Manager-Outreach

As an Intake Case Manager at Licking County Alcoholism Prevention Program (LAPP), you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with substance use disorders. Collaborating closely with counselors, you will assist in managing cases and conduct proactive efforts to connect with community members who require services at the registration/intake stage of treatment. This dynamic position will require a strong skill set of administrative and clinical knowledge, allowing you to engage with diverse individuals and situations. Duties include registration, screening, education of the treatment process, and assist the Administrative Manager and clinical staff. Additionally you may be required to provide coverage in the front office and assist in the facilitation of treatment groups. Your dedication and empathy will make a real difference in the lives of those in need, showcasing the impact of your work within the community and the organization.

What you need to be successful

To excel in the role of an Intake Case Manager at Licking County Alcoholism Prevention Program, candidates should possess essential skills and qualifications. A minimum of 1 year of case management experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred to navigate the complexities of supporting individuals with substance use disorders effectively. The successful candidate will be accountable and able to work within the established scope of practices under direct supervision.

Proficiency in utilizing basic community resources and a solid understanding of individuals struggling with substance use disorders are essential for this position. A CDCA certification is mandatory to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. You must be able to operate office equipment not limited to computer, fax, copier, and phone. Prior Electronic Health Record System experience is a plus These skills and qualifications will empower you to make a meaningful impact within the community and support those in need effectively.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Preferably 1 year of case management in a behavioral health setting. Accountable and works within the scope of practices under direct supervision. Basic working knowledge of community resources and individuals with substance use disorders. CDCA is required.
