ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Communications Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day management of FORCLT's communications strategies and databases. This role is instrumental in ensuring our communications strategies are impactful, intentional, and truly embody the FORCLT mission. Through the management of these key internal strategies, the Communications Manager supports FORCLT's external strategies, including our networks, initiatives, and gatherings. Because of FORCLT's mission to connect pastors for personal, church and city renewal, and values of Jesus-centrality, church unity, and city transformation, it is imperative that the Communications Manager have deep love of Jesus, his Church and the city of Charlotte.

The Communications Manager performs a wide range of duties, including but not limited to the following main areas of responsibilities:

COMMUNICATIONS ROLE DESCRIPTION

  • Work with Directorial Staff to develop and implement strategic external communications plans to foster awareness of and interest in FC networks and initiatives
  • Develop analytic systems to evaluate the effectiveness of communications efforts. Measure results of communication campaigns to inform future strategies
  • Work with Directorial Staff and Contractors to develop Annual Report and Impact reports
  • Ensure information integrity in all FC resources and communications
  • Work with videographers & organizations to help coordinate FC video needs
  • Cultivate and manage any needed communications vendors (social media, web, email, etc.)
  • Supporting and managing new communication initiatives as needed

COMMUNICATIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

Email Communications:

  • Oversee FC email strategy (content, story development, etc.)
  • All Database Newsletter Emails - Monthly
  • Pastor Emails - Bi-Weekly
  • Prayer Emails - As needed
  • Mobilization Emails - As needed
  • Assist in recruitment for all FC events.
  • Network Leader Communications - As needed
  • State of Our City (SOOC) - As needed

Website Management:

  • Ensure all FC websites remain up-to-date
  • Think through strategic ways to leverage FC websites for engagement

Event Communication Management & Support:

  • Strategically communicate all FC Gatherings
  • Attend and support all FC Gatherings

Social Media Communications:

  • Work with Directorial staff to develop and implement social media strategy (LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook)

Research / Digital State of the City:

  • Assist relevant staff with the Digital State of the City Report
  • Ensure research and data are communicated well within the network and city
  • Ensure the visual identity is aligned with the overarching FORCLT identity
  • As needed, help with curation of external data and research
