We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Territory Sales Manager to join our team covering Northern NJ and NY areas. This role is pivotal in driving sales of custom engineering services and solutions tailored to meet unique client applications. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical sales, an ability to build strong client relationships, and a deep understanding of engineering processes and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue within the assigned territory.
  • Client Acquisition and Retention: Identify and engage with prospective clients, build relationships, and maintain long-term partnerships to drive repeat business.
  • Technical Consultation: Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs, and provide tailored engineering service solutions.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities, stay ahead of industry trends, and monitor competitor activities.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present detailed proposals, including cost estimates and timelines, in collaboration with the SMEs and inside sales.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, address objections, and successfully close deals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project management, and customer support teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Performance Metrics: Achieve and exceed sales targets, monitor key performance indicators, and prepare regular sales reports for management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; technical background preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in engineering services or technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of custom applications and engineering processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow a sales territory.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
  • Travel will include daily travel to various locations throughout the day, with nightly return to home.
