Position Overview

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Program Manager supports the SubCom corporate effort related to tracking EHS goals and KPIs, Management Systems, and supporting EHS Databases. This position reports to the Director of Environmental Health and Safety in Newington, NH.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Drive ISO documentation and conformance to ISO principles. Look for efficiencies in documentation, consolidation, and coordination of EHS documentation.

• Understand and manage EHS database functions and promote utilization. Provide related training to users.

• Support processes for intake of injury records, verify records are complete, and manage closure of action items.

• Develop and support general EHS processes for data collection including labor statistics and ESG related data.

• Develop reports and analyze data for performance trends.

• Develop documentation and support EHS management system audits, tracking of findings and corrective actions to closure.

• Assist in the maintenance of EHS policies, programs, and procedures.

• Occasional travel to selected job sites to support development of skills and knowledge of the business.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering, either CSP and/or CIH, and 12+ years relevant experience with increasing EHS responsibility. Master’s degree in Safety or Industrial Hygiene is a plus.

  • Good understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards and EHS related metrics, KPIs.

  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and standards including ISO9001.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage concurrent projects.

  • Experience with EH&S data, training, written programs, and related regulations.

  • Understanding of ESG principles, sustainability metrics, and recording requirements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate priorities, document procedures, architectures, and services.

  • Interpersonal skills to build and maintain rapport, confidence and influence with peers and teammates both in person and remotely. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Computer literate; high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and databases.

  • The ability to obtain security clearance is required.
