Service Credit Union is seeking a Core Banking Systems Administrator, with Fiserv DNA and Automic, OPCON, or AppWorx experience/knowledge required, whose primary responsibility is the administration, optimization, maintenance, and monitoring of the Core Banking data processing components to achieve high reliability, performance, and smooth ongoing management of daily operations. Providing the credit union staff with the technical expertise required relative to all data processing concepts and working closely with them to implement, test, and deploy new processes, applications, services, and interfaces with third party vendors. It also includes participating in disaster recovery exercises, maintaining application technical procedures, new core application features and functionality rollouts, and implementing new core system enhancements available with the new releases.

Pay: Starting at $93,912/yearly

Work location: Portsmouth, NH, Corporate Headquarters (Hybrid schedule available)

A Day in the Life:
  • Proactively communicate status of projects or critical system issues to Credit Union staff and keep them informed on your progress to resolve them.
  • Create/test/validate new processes, applications, file transfers, or configuration changes with the Core Banking or Job Scheduler applications.
  • Assist the AVP Core Operations in projects related to the Core Operations Department by researching, implementing, and documenting any new processes and services.
  • Assist in configuring and testing Core Banking enhancement requests and scheduling the change request for the production environment.
  • Provide technical expertise to Business Areas and third-party vendors as it relates to Core Banking and job scheduling functions by researching and analyzing applications user manuals or website help documentation.
  • Acquire and maintain detailed knowledge of the Core Banking and Job Scheduling Systems and report to the AVP Core Operations or Core Operations Manager any concerns relating to them.
  • Create/modify new and existing jobs on Automic job scheduler and assist the Core Banking Specialist in job scheduling and processing priorities.
  • Assist in monitoring all data processing applications and services supplied by outside vendors.
  • Create and maintain application/processing documentation and clearly communicate the technical concepts and process to the Core Operations team.
  • Assist in meeting Service Level Agreements (SLA's) on Incidents, Service Requests, and Change Requests as set by management.
  • Ability to resolve any application or data processing malfunction independently, gathering all relevant data and notifying the AVP Core Operations accordingly.
  • Assist in meeting system availability objectives as set by management and scheduling all maintenance with minimal disruption to the on-line Host operation, minimizing member impact as a guiding principle. Strive for quality, accurate results on any new or modified job schedules.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding credit union policies and procedures, member financial data, personal information, and work-related events.
  • Provide quality support and maintain a professional relationship with peers, management, other staff, and members through cooperation, mutual trust, and respect.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of the Core Banking and Job Scheduling Systems through educational workshops, establishing networks with other Credit Unions, and internal training opportunities.
  • Must be self-motivated and ability to recognize and suggest processing improvements to better the member or internal customer experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Three to five years' experience in Core Banking and Job Scheduling system related work is required.
  • Knowledge of DNA and Automic systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer operations concepts, and networking basics required.
  • Maintain a high skill level through continued education programs.
  • Be available for emergencies on 24-hour 7 days a week basis.
  • Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work while managing multiple tasks.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with cross-functional teams & staff.
