Quality Control Inspector

The QC Inspectors primary responsibilities will be to perform the daily in-process and final inspection of finished goods manufactured by the company or its affiliates. The inspector will need to complete all related reports and maintain detailed log of Returned Goods and the disposition of the material. The inspector will communicate back to the line supervision any issues or corrective actions needed to resolve a QC problem in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
* Perform daily in-process and final inspection of fixtures.
* Complete all QC documentation as it relates to daily inspection process.
* As needed perform inspection of the company product built at remote location, maintain detailed inspection reports.
* Assist in the processing of Returned Goods from the field and issue appropriate reports.
* Assist QC Supervisor in the completion of the monthly Safety and QA reports.
* Communicate with Production and Engineering any issues found during the process of evaluating material.
* Perform the monthly Safety Audit.
* The inspector will assist in simple rework and repair of RGA"s.
* The inspector will assist the QC Manager in preparing monthly Safety and Quality Reports.
* Meets safety and quality expectations while adhering to all OSHA and the company requirements.
* Other duties as deemed appropriate by Management and the Company.

Travel Requirements: Approximately 10%

Job Requirements

* 3-5 years Quality Control experience in a light manufacturing environment (preferably electro-mechanical)
* Must be able to read basic electrical drawings
* Professional demeanor and communication skills across all levels of production and administration
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and manage changing business conditions is essential
* Working experience in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma environments
* Must be able to stand for 8 hours per day

Environmental/Physical Requirements:
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be asked to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Education
* High School diploma or related work experience.
* Associates or Technical degree preferred
