Full-time, Days/ 9:00AM to 5:30PM

POSITION PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:

Assists the department in maintaining high-quality clinical practices with a particular focus on a specialized area. Responsible for direct patient care, program development, and community education. Provides mentorship for professional and support staff. Works with medical staff to keep them informed of occupational therapy practices. Assists Supervisor in upholding evidence-based practice in Occupational Therapy. Coordinates departmental continuing education and in-services.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduate of an accredited University program in Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum work experience: 2 to 3 years in direct patient care experience with post-graduate preparation, specialty certification, or completion of significant continuing education leading to clinical competence in one or more areas: lymphedema, hand therapy, orthopedics; sports medicine; wound management; neurology, or pediatrics.
  • License/Registration/Certification: Indiana Licensure
  • CPR certification current
  • BLS Course C (Basic Life Support)
