Responsibilities

You'll make an impact as you:

  • Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
  • Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
  • Live-out - conviction of "work flows through relationship" by passionately "loving God and loving people" through word and deed. Promote team and organizational culture standards, ensuring high customer service standards.
  • Collaborate on departmental initiatives to provide a best-in-class experience for Wycliffe USA future and existing staff. Assist with cross-functional team responsibilities, tactical teams/departmental initiatives.
  • Represent the Marketing team in meetings, projects, workshops, and partnership efforts, as assigned.
  • Collaborate with the Associate Director of Editorial Content, Director of Content Marketing, and other team members to align content with the Associated Press stylebook and the organization's voice, style, and branding guidelines across various channels.
  • Craft compelling stories that demonstrate the transformative impact of Bible translation on individuals and communities.
  • Create and edit content for a range of platforms including email newsletters, social media posts, blog articles, website pages, and print materials.
  • Develop and implement content strategies with the marketing team to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
  • Conduct interviews with missionaries, translators, and affected individuals to gather in-depth stories and insights.
  • Perform detailed research to ensure the accuracy and context of stories.
  • Employ advanced storytelling techniques to produce emotionally impactful narratives.
  • Manage the editorial calendar to ensure timely content delivery.
  • Review and enhance content quality by editing submissions from team members, providing constructive feedback.
  • Stay informed on trends in content creation to continuously improve storytelling skills.
  • Lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative content ideas and initiatives.
  • Support various writing and editorial projects as needed.
  • Use AI-powered tools to analyze and repurpose content, creating assets like social media graphics, video scripts, and infographics.
  • Work closely with content creators and stakeholders to align on goals, target audiences, and distribution strategies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the marketing leadership team.

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in writing, editing, or storytelling, preferably within a nonprofit or ministry context.
  • Experience in creating content for digital and print platforms.
  • Familiarity with the mission and values of Bible translation organizations is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

Wycliffe Bible Translators is a non-profit Christian organization. Wycliffe's purpose-driven culture allows you to use your gifts and talents to serve the global work and ministry of Bible translation.
  • The hiring range for this position is $26.18-$30.43 hourly. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. The actual pay rate will be based on various factors such as qualifications, skills and experience, required training, licensure and/or certifications, budget, and location, if applicable. Additionally, the range for this position is based upon and considers Wycliffe's non-profit ministry environment.
