The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. The Director of Pharmacy will oversee the management of medication administration and ensure that our hospital's pharmacy team adheres to the highest standards of practice. **Responsibilities:** - Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring that all processes are efficient and effective. - Collaborate with hospital leadership and other departments to develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures. - Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients, including medication therapy management and patient education. - Ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory policies, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards. - Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, including physicians and nurse practitioners. - Manage and supervise the pharmacy team, including pharmacists, technicians, and support staff. - Stay current with advancements in medication administration and clinical pharmacy, applying this knowledge to improve patient care. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of hospital policies and procedures. - Provide medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to support patient care and communication. - Collaborate with the ICU and hospital medicine teams to ensure that patients receive the best possible care. - Provide pediatric pharmacy services as needed, including medication management and patient education. - Serve as a resource for hospital staff and provide guidance on medication administration and clinical pharmacy best practices. **Requirements:** - Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution. - Current licensure as a pharmacist in Idaho. - Experience in a hospital setting, with a focus on clinical pharmacy and medication administration. - Minimum of five (5) years of hospital pharmacy experience, three (3) years minimum of which are director-level experience - Experience in critical care settings, including ICUs and hospital medicine departments. - Experience with clinical pharmacy services, including medication therapy management and patient education. - Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures, including HIPAA and Joint Commission standards. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and hospital staff. - Ability to stay current with advancements in medication administration and clinical pharmacy.
