The

Director Advanced Analytics

is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling the resources and efforts of an advanced analytics team to accomplish company objectives through program monitoring and reporting, program evaluation, foundational health services and health economics research, opportunity analyses, and general analytic consulting to Elevance Health stakeholders and partners.
How you will make an impact:
Manages day-to-day research activities of a team of advanced analysts in a particular subject matter domain (e.g. Value-Based Care, Care and Disease Management, Vendor Solutions, Utilization Management, Performance Guarantees, etc.) or specific functional area (such as data extraction and management).
The work will mainly focus on supporting Elevances clinical program teams by providing continual feedback on program performance, identifying drivers of success, and developing insights into future opportunities for program enhancements or expansions.
Additionally, the work will support Elevance Healths program governance activities by providing business partners with studies/reports of the impact of various programs and policies on cost, quality, and clinical outcomes.
Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BA/BS in Health Services Research, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related research-oriented discipline and a minimum of 10 years of experience leading evaluation/research/consulting projects and teams; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Knowledge of statistical software and analytic platforms is strongly preferred.
Background in improvement science and related methodologies.
Advanced degree in a research-oriented discipline (Health Services Research, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, etc.).
Prior leadership/management experience preferred.
