Patient Access Specialist/Subject Matter Expert- Arizona- Six Month Contract American Consultants is looking for Patient Access Specialist/Subject Matter Expert at a facility in Arizona. They are open to a hybrid schedule of two weeks onsite/one week from home. Job Qualifications: 10+ years managing , implementing, and or centralizing patient access functions within a hospital and ambulatory care business setting. Prior experience delivering patient access services functions, including centralization, standardization, new technologies, best practices, and policies and procedures. Experience with Allscripts Sunrise SCM/SFM and other RCM applications highly preferred. Excellent customer service and peoples' skills that drive best outcomes – including the ability to teach and train others – delivering the best in patient experience and interactions. Well versed in the following areas of PAS: Scheduling Pre-Registration Insurance eligibility and benefits verification Pre-Certification and Authorization processes and best practices Patient registration and admission functions standard to a hospital-based provider and ambulatory care centers Develops, implements, and revises policy and procedures pertaining to PAS functions. Other RCM related experience – highly preferred – including reporting to track productivity, quality, and performance of the PAS team.
