Summary

The Category Manager will be responsible for the management and advancement of their assigned Glove Category. They will work directly with the Sales team, and they also will help facilitate cross functional communication with Marketing, Product Development, Product Management, and Supply Chain with the goal of increasing sales and profitability to drive sustainable growth of the category.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy
  • Defines and leads overall strategic growth plan for category segment to include:
    • Market requirements and new opportunities
    • Opportunities for product innovation and product enhancements
    • Comprehensive competitive analysis regarding pricing, products, features, messaging
    • Understand won/loss opportunities and sales trends and develop of plans to address
    • Work with other category managers to develop broader, comprehensive plans
Business Planning
  • Leading the long-term category plan and working with product management on strategic roadmap
  • Collaborate with sales and supply chain to ensure adequate supply of product to achieve fiscal business plan objectives
  • Establish pricing strategies, financial targets, and business objectives
Product Marketing
  • Contribute to development of product marketing plan and campaigns to generate product awareness and demand
  • Support sales and marketing with the necessary product knowledge and technical expertise
  • Streamline marketing asset development (sales tools and training materials) to support category sales in HexArmor's key industry verticals
Sales Leadership
  • Collaborate with Sales, Distribution, Global Accounts and Sales leadership to drive business development plans
  • Supporting sales - Training around sales tools and sales playbook
  • Work with RSMs in the field to visit customers for training, opportunity creation and advancement, and to capture market feedback
Education and Experience
  • Degree Minimum: 4 year degree
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) a plus
  • Experience: 5+ years of working experience
Qualifications Required
  • Desire and ability to work in fast-paced environment and be part of a high-performance team
  • Ability a assimilate a large amount of data and analyze to create actionable plans
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and CRM (Salesforce.com)
  • Ability to travel 30%
