The Staff Accountant is responsible for all aspects of month-end close including journal entry process, account reconciliation, and analysis of various asset, liability, revenue and expense account balances.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly Journal entries as assigned

Prepare monthly reconciliation and analysis of General Ledger accounts

Assist during annual budget and quarterly forecast process

Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual Sales and Royalty packages for assigned brands in accordance with Licensor contracts

Coordinate documentation for Licensor audits

Assist with intercompany reconciliations and cross-charges.

Maintain and update Procedures Manual

Assist with external financial and tax audits

Other special projects as requested

Work Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting required
  • 2+ years general accounting experience
  • Advanced Excel Skills
  • Wholesale distribution experience preferable
  • SAP experience a plus

Skills/ Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technical accounting and financial analytical skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
