Faculty members are classified according to the ranks of Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. They are directly responsible to a discipline coordinator and/or department chair and have responsibilities through the administrative structure at their respective college and to the district. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of leader, teacher, adviser, mentor, and facilitator of learning. QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:HighSchool Diploma or equivalent with relevant industry certifications. 5 years' relevant industry experience that includes printreading, use of precision measurement tools, quality assurance, conventionallathe, conventional vertical mill, and CNC machine tool centers. Desiredexperience may also include maintaining mechanical drive systems, fluid powersystems, and industrial robotics experience.Preferred Education andExperience:Associatedegree or greater.3 years'relevant industry experience that includes print reading, use of precisionmeasurement tools, quality assurance, conventional lathe, conventional verticalmill, CNC machine tool centers, maintaining mechanical drive systems, fluidpower systems, and industrial robotics experience.
