Principal Service Solutions is hiring Entry Level and Experienced Field Service Engineers.You will be trained on installation, servicing, and maintenance of semiconductor equipment in a manufacturing fab/cleanroom environment. Travel will be required at some point to support activity in different semiconductor fabs nationwide.

We are searching for detail-oriented people with technical and mechanical experience/ aptitude ( e.g. using hand and power tools to work on cars (vehicle repairs or maintenance), repairing machines, etc...) who are looking for an opportunity to start a career that offers unlimited opportunity for growth and career progression.On-the-job training provided.

Job Description:

  • Performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Maintain records and reports as required
  • Coordinate activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
  • Orders and installs parts
  • Responds to emergency service calls as required
  • Instructs customer operating technicians on system operation and maintenance
  • Perform upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
  • Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
  • Employees must also maintain standards of conduct acceptable to both Principal Service Solutions andcustomers to maintain credentials for being on customer site(s)
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 0 years of previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment. (For entry level)
  • Previous experience in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment for all other levels.
  • Mechanical aptitude is required as well as an ability to use appropriate tools.
  • Understanding of technical issues involving the maintenance, repair, and installation of company equipment and company procedures is required.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and critical thinking ability.
  • High levels of professionalism and customer interface skills.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • MS Office/Excellent communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a cleanroom environment, in awkward positions, and in high places
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds.
  • May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing
  • May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
Travel:
  • Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time for domestic or occasional international travel.
  • Travel assignment duration can vary but candidates will be allowed to travel home every 6-8 weeks on average, dependent upon workload.
  • Approved travel expenses paid.
  • Shifts will be predominantly day shift but may vary subject to customers' demands and requirements. Flexibility to work shifts as required is a big plus
Educational Requirements:
  • Associates degree in electronics, engineering, or other applicable field of study; Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
  • Military service in relevant Technical Role will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Pay Rate:
Entry: $28.00/hr to $30.00/hr
FSE 1: $30.00/hr to $31.50/hr
FSE 2: $31.50/hr to $33.00/hr
FSE 3: $33.00/hr to $35.00/hr
FSE 4: $36.00/hr plus DOE
