Service Field Engineer

Our team is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our Heavy Civil Construction team. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring quality of reporting and workmanship, and that all engineering work is completed in a professional and ethical manner.
Key responsibilities include contract administration, project planning, scheduling, and project reporting. You will also play an advisory role to Project Management for contractual, legal, and other project issues.

As a Field Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a national scale, with projects located in small and large cities. You will be required to travel to project sites and stay at site for the duration of the project.
Requirements include two plus years of construction field experience, work experience in a Field Engineering position or like role, and an undergraduate degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field. Strong computer background, including experience with Microsoft Office and scheduling software, is also required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work
- Support in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data
- Participating in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training
- Order and schedule material deliveries
- Supervise field operations
Requirements:
