Position Summary The incumbent will be the subject matter expert that leads the direction, coordination, integration and implementation of technology across the organization. The Director will ensure that all components of the IT infrastructure are current, effective and maintained appropriately. The Director will evaluate and implement technology solutions to support programmatic, administrative, site rental and A/V support services. The Director manages all aspects of ASGE’s information and business technology as well as the Audio-Visual environment. The Director supervises the IT and Audio-Visual Services Teams and ensures that they are constantly acquiring and enhancing new technological skills. The Director, as a member of the Leadership Team, acts as a strategic partner and drives strategic outcomes through executive engagement and effective communication. The Director will facilitate the design, specifications, planning and execution of Information Technology and A/V projects corporate wide. Provide expertise and knowledge of current industry trends in technology standards to improve the IT experience across organization. Effectively monitors and maintains the security of ASGE’s applications, databases, computers, and websites. Partner with the leadership team with respect to the development of the technology required to support initiatives and programs. Successfully manage all technology related vendor relationships. Assess and manage 3rd parties as needed (outside vendors, client development teams, service partners) to implement solutions Identify opportunities and risks, recommend, develop, implement and support industry-leading digital and technology solutions. Identifies new IS developments and technologies; anticipates resulting organizational modifications as needed Ensures that IT and network infrastructure adequately support the company’s computing, data processing, and communications needs. Develops and implements the IT budget. Assess and establishes short-term and long-term technology needs; plans and develops strategies for developing systems that meet or exceed ASGE’s needs. Ensures compliance with government regulations that apply to systems operations. Provide on-site support for technology services. Manage the AV team and ensures that the needs for ASGE’s facility, events, courses, conferences and rentals are met Ability to create advanced SQL scripts; Familiarity with .net framework, API’s, and other coding languages. Education/Experience/Knowledge: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or equivalent with ten years of related experience and/or training is preferred. Detailed knowledge of Information Technology and Audio-Visual systems’ current state and trends. Experience in effectively supervising direct reports, strategic planning, budgeting and project management. Required Certifications/Memberships: None. Skills: Advanced knowledge of Information technology, telephony and telephone systems. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Advanced knowledge of project management. Advanced knowledge of desktop computers, advanced knowledge of Audio-Visual technology. Intermediate knowledge of server administration. Microsoft windows, troubleshooting. Intermediate knowledge of databases, specifically Microsoft SQL. Intermediate knowledge of Membership Management Systems, specifically iMIS. Intermediate knowledge of reporting tools, specifically Crystal Reports. Familiarity with scripting languages such as NODE.js and Python. Knowledge of accounting, financial planning and budgeting software is a plus. Advanced written and oral communication skills. Deploys critical thinking and leadership skills throughout the scope of work. Abilities: Effectively communicates at all staff levels. Facilitates discussions related to requirements, development and IT solutions. Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Leadership team and staff. A self-directed leader that collaborates with all team members to achieve strategic goals. Able to research, develop and explain technology options for all business units. Strategic planner, critical thinker and tactical supporter to all staff. Some weekend and evening availability is required for business travel and local, on-site meetings.
