Fleet Market Manager

Location: San Diego, CA

Compensation: $60,000- + Monthly bonus opportunity

The Market Manager will play a key role for the company by ensuring our vehicles meet our customer's standards for safety and cleanliness and ultimately providing our customers with exceptional care. This position manages Fluid Truck's fleet at a local level and reports directly to the Regional Market Manager.

The Market Manager will be responsible for the following facets of fleet management at the market level:

  1. Simple preventative maintenance
    1. Following guidelines provided by the Regional Market Manager for conducting regular preventative maintenance and simple repairs
    2. Coordinating with Regional Market Manager and Operations Manager when a vehicle requires maintenance or repairs to be conducted by a vendor
    3. Coordinate with vendors at the local level as needed to ensure a smooth process for maintenance and repairs
  2. Responsiveness to customer issues and requests
    1. Respond to customer issues and requests within the established time frame
    2. Provide our customers with excellent care
  3. Vehicle Inspections
    1. Conduct vehicle inspections as required using our mobile app
    2. Ensure all inspections are completed within the designated time and all data is accurate
  4. Onboarding new vehicles
    1. Onboarding new vehicles includes attaching decals, installing telematics, printing plates and making sure insurance cards are in the vehicles
  5. Offboarding legacy vehicles
    1. Decommissioning vehicles includes removing decals, uninstalling telematics, and removal of all registrations.
  6. Additional responsibilities include:
    1. Collaborating with multiple team members and departments including the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience
    2. Effectively communicating with the Regional Market Manager and Operations Manager to ensure local fleet is in optimal condition
    3. Picking up and dropping off vehicles at various locations as needed
    4. Assisting with the vehicle recovery process
    5. Makes financial decisions to promote the health of the local fleet while reducing costs

Field Work: This position is considered "field work" and is generally outdoors in various weather elements. The vehicles in our fleet are staged in various Fluid Truck locations and customer locations throughout the market. These locations are generally parking lots that vary and could be concrete, gravel and dirt lots.

Requirements

  • Proven success in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment
  • Must be proficient with mobile app technology with the ability to use our mobile app and navigate various internal platforms
  • Experience in general automotive maintenance and/or fleet management or related field
  • Ability to develop and manage local vendor relationships
  • General business acumen with the ability to identify and recommend cost saving measures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to lift up to 75lbs; sitting, standing, bending, twisting, stretching, kneeling for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must be willing to commute as needed in a company provided vehicle
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean Motor Vehicle Report
