Permit Specialist

The ALLO Permitting team is dedicated to delivering permits and agreements as needed for construction of ALLO Fiber Optic cables in new and existing ALLO markets. Permitting Specialists are focused on priorities and delivering permits on a schedule to enable construction activities. ALLO Permit Specialists will work closely with Leadership and Subject Matter Experts to stay current on priorities and schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Commit to providing an Exceptional and Hassle-Free outcome-oriented permitting organization
  • Plan, organize & implement obtaining permits as required
  • Work closely with the ALLO Design team to understand what permits need to be submitted to what governing authority
  • Ensure ALLO remains in compliance with Federal, State, and local rules and regulations by obtaining the needed permits for underground construction
  • Submit permit applications for Highway and Rail crossings
  • Submit permit applications for ALLO to cross and occupy various Federal, State, and Local entities property
  • Submit permit applications for crossing drainage ditches and irrigation canals
  • Work closely with the ALLO Design team for needed application drawings
  • Coordinate with ALLO Design team to understand what poles to submit to what power company for pole attachment permits
  • Submit Pole Attachment request applications with supporting analysis data
  • Actively track pole attach requests with different power and telephone utilities
  • Document and maintain records of all permits applied for and received
  • Train new teammates on the permitting processes
  • Demonstrates Company's Values-Local, Hassle Free, Honest and Exceptional
  • Other duties and responsibilities as per needs of the business
EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree or 2-4 years of equivalent work experience preferred
EXPERIENCE:
  • 1 year of permitting experience preferred but not required
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
  • Customer service
  • Oral communications
  • Written communications
  • Working with MS Office
  • Managing Multiple Priorities, Decision Making, and Critical Thinking
  • Solid basic math skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Remain stationary for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate information
  • Ability to operate a computer
  • Possess/Maintain a valid Driver's License
  • Travel requirement: 10%
