POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Youth Director, the Club Model Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of all Club Model Programs and the partners/organization providing programming for all Club Model sites.

They are responsible for managing the functions of the program in accordance with the stated mission, goals, and policies established by the administrative staff, governing committees, and Board of Directors of the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage the scheduling and logistics of multiple enrichment programs and organizations operating within the after-school setting.
  • Ensure smooth coordination and communication between all stakeholders, including vendors, instructors, students, and parents.
  • Oversee daily program operations to ensure adherence to schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with various child-centered enrichment organizations (e.g., art, music, sports, STEM, and more).
  • Regularly collaborate with these partners to align their programming with the needs and interests of the students.
  • Collaborate with partners to adapt and tailor their offerings to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Develop and implement evaluation tools to measure the effectiveness and impact of programming.
  • Responsible for building and stewarding a positive relationship with school administration, maintaining equipment and cleanliness of space.
  • If applicable, assists in tracking and improving the academic progress of children participating in Y Learning.
  • Maintains First Aid, CPRO, Child Abuse Prevention, Epi-Pen, and Blood Borne Pathogens certifications/trainings and ensures that staff maintain current certifications as well.
  • Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.
  • Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
  • Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required with 2 years of experience working with youth preferred.
  • Previous experience in program development, personal development and supervision of staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Strong programming, communication, public speaking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have a strong background in group control, leading activities, planning and organization.
  • Strong knowledge of how youth programs are organized and implemented.
  • Ability to work with and motivate parents, staff, and children.
  • Ability to assist in the management of the facility, equipment, and staff.
  • Must obtain certifications through the YMCA in Basic Life Support/First Aid and Emergency Oxygen within first 30 days of hire.
  • Multi-lingual desired but not required.
