Reporting to the FP&A Manager, Finance - Architectural Specialties, this role is the finance P&L owner for the strategic sourcing business and primary business partner to the Director of Supply Chain and Operations for the Architectural Specialties business segment.

The Accounting Analyst will be a key figure in driving profitability of strategic sourcing and managing G&A costs for the broader Architectural Specialties business. This person will need to be resourceful and self-driven with a mindset for continuous improvement and customer service. This person will also need to be flexible and adaptable as they support a growing and evolving business. The incumbent must exhibit strong follow-through and the ability to take ownership of projects and issues to see them through to completion. The successful candidate will gain valuable business partnership experience, an enhanced analytical skillset, and the ability to develop and execute complex projects.

What You'll Do
  • Spearhead efforts to enhance the profitability of strategic sourcing by identifying and executing cost reduction opportunities.
  • Collaborate with business partners to develop the monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-range Sourcing forecasts.
  • Analyze financial results to better understand performance and drive corrective actions to improve financial outcomes.
  • Partner with the director of AS Supply Chain and Operations to develop, manage, and report on Supply Chain KPIs.
  • Establish and maintain updated standard costing associated with sourced products.
  • Own and manage General and Administrative costs related to the core Architectural Specialties business segment.
  • Support month-end accounting closing activities to ensure the accuracy of monthly results and internal control compliance.
  • Utilize digital technology to implement process improvement and drive standardization.
  • Support future M&A financial system integration efforts.
  • Build and present executive level presentations.
  • Coordinate ad hoc activities and complete special projects as assigned.

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to ascertain the reasonableness and accuracy of information.
  • Expertise in SAP / BW / OneStream environment. Familiarity with Tableau preferred.
  • Advance capability in MS Office Suite - particularly MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work cross functionally with other groups within the company.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities; must be a self-starter and take the initiative in completing projects and assignments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications with the ability to share knowledge at appropriate levels of the organization.
  • Customer focused with strong attention to detail and capable of delivering accurate, quality results in a timely, consistent, and professional manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact comfortably and respectfully with all levels of personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3 to 5+ plus years of financial reporting and/or public accounting experience
