The El Paso Veterinary Medical Association (EPVMA) is searching for an Association Manager (AM) who reports directly to the Executive Committee (EC).
The primary function of the AM is to support the EPVMA in its Mission to promote the veterinary profession and well-being of veterinary professionals, advocate for animal well-being, and support cross-organizational animal programs that benefit the community as a whole. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and objectives, and the ability to coordinate services and networking with multiple affiliated member practices and partners. This position is a full-time position, typically requiring 30-40 hours per week from a remote location/home office. Training or experience in non-profit organization management or leadership, business management, veterinary practice management, or public administration would be preferred, but not required.
Primary Responsibilities:

Member Services:
Support member needs, distribute relevant information including a bimonthly Association Manager’s Report to the membership, collect dues and track membership status, increase member engagement and participation, and coordinate Association meetings
·
Communication and Collaboration:
Build and maintain relationships with partners, vendors, civic and animal-related organizations as appropriate to support EPVMA’s mission and goals
·
Marketing and Public Presence:
Serve as a main point of contact and Association representative to the media and other organizations. Manage social media and website content in accordance with the EPVMA Mission and the Executive Committee direction.
·
Fiscal Responsibilities:
Monitor financial transactions, ensure efficient and responsible use of Association funds, and work with the Finance Committee and/or fiscal professional to develop the annual budget
·
Manage the daily operations and programs of the Association in close collaboration with the EC
·
Assist with planning and management of Association events, including annual banquet, CE events, and community outreach events
·
Familiar with the organizational Constitution, Bylaws, and Policies; and implement Policies as directed by the EC
The Association Manager should have strong communication and organizational skills, be comfortable with public speaking and be willing to learn the veterinary industry if not yet familiar. Due to EPVMA’s local ties and business needs within the El Paso community, the position requires the AM to reside within the El Paso area.
The expected salary range for this position is $55,000 up to $65,000 for highly experienced candidates. Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
