You'll be part of a passionate group of professionals who are just as excited about trucks as you are.POSITION SUMMARYThe Quality Control Supervisor will supervise a team of Quality Control inspectors that perform 100% validation per function and aesthetic standards of all production as well as routine product and process audits as a Quality Assurance function. This position includes the tasks of leading corrective action and continuous improvement efforts such as: CAR's, 8D's, and appropriate Root Cause analysis techniques using applicable formats and tools or forms. The individual will work with the manufacturing team in reducing quality defects and improving the quality and delivery of the product along with being responsible for compliance with Corporate QMS direction at the plant level and its practical function.CORE FUNCTIONSDaily frontline supervision of QC and QA personnel and their requisite tasks.Train all employees in the identification and the specified protocols addressing quality issues and defects.Seek out areas to improve quality and function in facilities.Identify defect issues, conduct deep-dive investigations as necessary, leading countermeasures and training in the facility to improve quality.Identify and lead projects in the facility to implement corrective actions that are sustainable to further improve customer satisfaction.Lead corrective actions and investigations in response to all quality issues noted by the customer, providing overall management of same to ensure high standard of investigation and problem solving.Track and maintain appropriate metrics to support customer satisfaction and QMS protocols as well as management of related project decks.Maintain a plantwide quality calendar for critical events.Drive a culture of Quality Excellence, ISO compliance, and adherence to QMS protocols; execute improvements by establishing and ensuring a preventative quality culture by ensuring quality inspection function and criteria is defined for all finished goods.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in related field preferred, however practical experience will be considered otherwise.3+ years of related experience in quality required.Experience with and understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action tools such as CAR's, A3's or 8D's.Experience in the automotive industry that demonstrates working knowledge for quality requirements, protocols and automotive customer's expectations is desired.Willing to grow and accept increased responsibilities during the typical progression the position's trajectory.SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGESkilled in personnel management and with strong interpersonal soft skills.Skilled in Microsoft Office.Literate in all correspondence, within and outside of the corporation.Knowledgeable in FMEA, Control Plans, standard work, and work instructions.Knowledgeable in IATF-16949/ISO 9001.Ability to solve complex problems and complete tasks.Ability to work through corrective action processes utilizing data to drive decision making.Ability to guide a team toward a consensus solution.Skilled in data and statistical analysis; Mini-tab analytical software is a plus.TRAVELIntercompany travel may be required between facilities within a 20-mile radius.Occasional travel greater than 20-mile radius may be required.SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIESThis position assigns trains, schedules, oversees and reviews the work of others.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThis position is subject to light work; Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls require exertion of force greater than that for sedentary work.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIESReaching, Standing, Walking, Lifting, Grasping, Feeling, Talking and Hearing.VISUAL ACUITYThe worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.WORKING CONDITIONSThis position operates in dual manufacturing floor and office environments. This role will be subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, including heat, noise, vibration, and hazards from a production-based environment.
