Dent Impact is seeking highly skilled and detail-oriented Surveillance Technicians, also known as Drilling Analysts, to join our team at our client's in-house office in Anchorage, Alaska. This role combines data management and real-time operational oversight during drilling and completions activities, working closely with the Client Engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Monitoring: Vigilantly monitor real-time (RT) operations across Client rig lines, documenting and cataloging specific events for future use.
  • Data Analysis and Quality Control: Verify incoming data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and assisting with quality control.
  • Dashboard Development: Design and build Power BI dashboards and other visualization tools to present data effectively.
  • Event Documentation: Capture and document notable operational events such as pressure tests, liner/packer sets, and cement jobs.
  • Watch Parties: Organize and manage watch parties for critical operations, ensuring relevant participants are included and data is properly displayed.
  • Tool Utilization: Regularly use and update tools such as the End of Section Report, ECD Tracker, Awesome excel sheets built by the team and Pressure Test Recording.
  • Data Projects: Undertake various data projects, ranging from extracting specific well data to conducting in-depth analyses within WellView.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop new methods and tools for data analysis to improve operational efficiency and decision-making processes.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in Power BI, Snowflake, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus during high-pressure situations.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the US.
  • Must be willing to live in the Anchorage area; rotating from outside the area is not allowed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with North Slope operations.
  • Experience with remote operations.
  • Familiarity with Python or coding is a plus.
  • Familiarity with SQL
  • Experience working in the field
  • Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards and practices
