Job Description

Morgan Hunter is working a role with a fast-growing HVAC/Manufacturing business, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Accounting Manager to join our team. As our business continues to expand, we are looking for a skilled professional who can effectively manage our financial operations and support our growth trajectory.

Position: Accounting Manager

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights on the company's financial performance.
  • Collaborate with department heads to monitor and control expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve financial processes.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate risks.
  • Manage the year-end audit process and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering their professional development.
  • Collaborate with senior management in strategic decision-making based on financial analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, preferably in the HVAC or construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
