A leading and rapidly expanding trading company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Back Office Application Support Analyst to join its IT team. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive tactical and strategic support for Credit, Trade Finance, and Accounting applications during US hours. The successful candidate will also manage a team of North American-based junior and senior support analysts.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert support for credit, trade finance, and accounting applications. Work closely with respective business units to ensure efficient and effective application performance. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues promptly. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance. Manage and mentor a team of junior and senior support analysts in North America. Interface regularly with Market Risk or Middle Office applications (experience with these is a plus). Collaborate with analysts on respective desks and maintain high visibility with the C-Suite.

Technical Skills Required:

Strong technologies with experience in supporting applications built in Python and on AWS, but also happy to consider candidates with experience in Java or C# applications. Experience managing BI tools, with a preference for Microsoft Power BI. Strong SQL and Excel skills are necessary for day-to-day operations. Proficiency in Python and AWS, plus experience in microservices, is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a similar role, supporting back-office applications in a trading company. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in interfacing with Market Risk or Middle Office applications is a significant advantage. Familiarity with Credit, Treasury, or Accounting applications within a trading environment.
