Qualifications: Bachelors degree 5 years of experience in public relations (in-house and/or agency). Amazon is seeking a highly-organized, self-motivated and high-judgment professional to join the Amazon Prime Communications team. This individual will help lead high visibility public relations initiatives for Prime in the U.S. and around the world. Key Responsibilities Act as a PR business partner with the WW and U.S. Prime business Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams across Amazon to drive successful programs Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges Develop workback timelines for tactics Help drive proactive coverage for U.S. Prime initiatives by pitching and securing top media, including print, broadcast and online outlets; build excellent relationships with key media Manage reactive media inquiries in the U.S. when necessary Support strategic launches for U.S. Prime Serve as a global liaison for Prime with communications leads in other countries and other Prime benefit businesses Write key messaging, press releases, briefing documents, and other external and internal materials for PR Manage external PR agency on monitoring and reporting guidelines, coverage reports, and end-of campaign metrics Identify key industry trends and announcements, drafting an analysis, and circulating with the appropriate stakeholders The ability to bring together a large group of stakeholders and lead them toward a common goal. The ability to self-motivate and work autonomously at times. Outstanding attention to detail and bias for action. Standards so high most people would find them unreasonable.
