The Hospital Executive Laboratory Director will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and across Southern California. The Hospital Executive Laboratory Director will report directly to the COO and work in partnership with the Pathology Chair. Supported by 2 managers and several tenured Laboratory Scientists, this person will lead a fantastic team and busy department with over 30 FTEs. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in the hospital laboratory setting,

certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP), and experience in an Oncology or Academic Hospital. The Hospital Executive Laboratory Director will be in charge of overseeing that testing provided by Lab Scientists and Technicians is efficient and thorough. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital and overseeing technical, administrative and operational management in the hospital laboratory. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the COO to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital’s standards and values, as well as
