Position Overview:
KODA Technologies is seeking a Senior Communications Network Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency mission on Redstone Arsenal.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide technical expertise for tactical communications equipment in support of research, development and integration efforts.
- Support the Missile Defense Agency with the Deployment, Testing, Integration and Upgrading of the THAAD missile system equipment pieces of the Tactical Operations Station (TOS) and Launch Control System (LCS)
- Follow detailed test procedures in a fast-paced field environment.
- Travel to various locations specified by the Missile Defense Agency in support of THAAD operations and testing.
- Deploy and provide support for various Tactical Communication systems.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering and 8+ years of experience or 14+ years related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS with short notification times to support the Warfighter.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of Tactical Communications Systems and/or Tactical Networking.
- Ability to support mission requirements during evenings and weekends as scheduled.
- Experience integrating and deploying LOS and SATCOM-related systems in one or more of the following: SMART-T, SNAP, CPN, and JNN.
- Ability to create and edit configurations for CISCO routers, switches, and firewalls as they pertain to current and future network infrastructure.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a US Passport.
- Knowledge of Link-16 Data protocols
- Ability to research, test and understand communication equipment and provide organized thoughts and suggestions in reference to that equipment in a concise and understandable manner.
- Up to 50%
- Minimum of Interim clearance to begin and maintain a Secret Clearance.
