THE JOB

As a Lead Starbucks Attendant, you will be responsible for training and overseeing a team of Baristas at one of the busiest cafe locations on the strip You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

STARTING PAY RATE: $15.42 plus tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY
  • Lead, coach, and train a shift of approximately 3-12 employees
  • Provide support to other team members at two Starbucks locations within Mandalay Bay Convention Center as they learn, and support the operation as needed when training is not taking place
  • Knowledgeable with selling techniques and service delivery for cafe style drinks and food items
  • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority
  • Take and place order, serve and garnish food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work areas as applicable
  • Utilize basic computer skills and experience with varied Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency
  • Utilize excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
  • Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment
  • Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and the appearance of the front and back of house area
REQUIRED
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education
  • Age 18+
  • Ability to work varied shifts to include weekends and holidays
  • 6 months of prior relevant work experience in a cafe style shop or as a barista
  • 6 months of customer service experience in a casino, resort, or convention center setting
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STANDOUT
  • 1+ year of Prior Experience as a Barista
  • 1+ year of Prior Experience in a Casino, Resort, or Convention Center setting
  • A Positive attitude, level head, and ability to multitask
  • Basic computer skills and experience with varied Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • high level of comfort in a high-volume environment
SCHEDULE:

These outlets operate between the hours of 6am and 8 pm daily
