In this role, you will manage all phases of capital and expense projects and serve as the primary technical point of contact between the project and business unit partners.

You will successfully complete assigned projects safely, on schedule and within budget, while following Corporation Engineering standards and procedures.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Ø

Achieving project objectives which include cost, schedule and functionality for project investments up to approximately $5-10 million. Ø

Providing leadership to the project team including Engineering, Manufacturing, EH&S, Infrastructure, Logistics, Procurement, and Construction. Ø

Championing the scope development process to ensure completeness of basic engineering, while seeking opportunities to add through the application of Value Based Engineering. Ø

Overseeing the Change Management process and maintaining focus on safety in the development of project concepts and during execution. Ø

Working with the Project Team to develop execution and contracting strategies to effectively meet objectives. Ø

Having a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace as you ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and technical standards.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS v

Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably in mechanical or chemical engineering. v

Five (5) or more years of engineering experience in a chemical, petrochemical or similar manufacturing environment combined with at least two (2) years of project management experience. v

A proven track record of executing multiple small to medium size capital projects simultaneously. v

Strong interpersonal, problem solving, leadership, organizational and communication skills are required. v

Must be team-oriented and capable of working in a multi-task environment. v

Knowledge of project management processes and project execution best practices. v

Familiarity with SAP systems is preferred. v

This position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential). Company Description Chemical Manufacturer
