FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

SUMMARY:

The Analyst I will serve a vital role in supporting all aspects of the Back-Office Department. This role will assist with various functions related to invoicing, reconciliations, and cash management to ensure the ease of normal day to day operations for Accounting, Risk and Front Office groups. It will require you to work as part of a team and collaborate daily to ensure essential Settlement functions are covered.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the Sr. Analyst and/or Lead Analyst and communicate progress on issues consistently throughout the day
  • Work with Operations and Middle Office to ensure completeness and accuracy of settlements
    of purchases, sales, and secondary costs
  • Disseminate invoices, reconcile and compare invoices against Allegro and ESN to ensure accuracy, confirm settlements and communicate confirmation of cash payments and receivables during monthly settlement periods
  • Identify invoice discrepancies and work to resolve with the assistance of Middle Office/Scheduling and Front Office as needed for physical trades
  • Prepare transportation invoices for allocation and payment daily
  • Execute Margin Call Settlement upon request by Credit, obtain necessary approvals, and maintain Cash Collateral worksheet
  • Input daily payment information utilizing online banking system
  • Perform daily cash forecasting utilizing workflow report and assist with AR aging reconciliation & reporting
  • Generate invoices in Allegro timely and close cash receipts/disbursements to ensure accurate credit reporting
  • Create payment approval forms and obtain an approval signature for wiring of payment
  • Resolve payment default issues and escalate appropriately
  • Provide support documentation for customer invoices
  • Aid Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office Accounting as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Candidate must be a highly motivated, self-driven, and team-oriented Analyst
  • Must be willing to accept direction and executive tasks timely and efficiently
  • Ability to take initiative, ownership of assigned tasks, and assist others when needed
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related discipline preferred or equivalent related work experience.
  • Knowledge and/or experience working within the Energy sector is preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year in a trading or related environment is preferred.
  • Accounting or Finance background is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Fluent verbal and written skills in English.

  • None required.
