Pinnacle Metal Products is seeking an IT Specialist to join our team in Columbus, OH The ideal candidate will have a background specifically in industrial applications and processes to help implement, coordinate, and lead the current and future information technology needs of the company as the company's internal processes become increasingly complex.

Responsibilities of the IT Specialist position:
  • Ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components, managing digital information flow throughout projects.
  • Manage raw material inventory using tracking systems from purchasing to finished product, including barcode infrastructure maintenance.
  • Manage and track hardware and technology, implementing controls for both hardware and software.
  • Uphold cybersecurity best practices to safeguard systems from digital threats and maintain data security.
  • Mentor colleagues in software tools usage, provide training on new programs, processes, and systems, and cater to diverse technology skill levels.
  • Utilize cloud computing to streamline operations and enhance data management capabilities.
  • Analyze cost-benefit tradeoffs and employ strategic thinking to balance cost and performance in IT solutions and asset purchasing decisions.
  • Serve as the point person for troubleshooting technical issues as they arise.
  • Consult on software decisions, utilizing extensive IT knowledge to select the best tools to meet organizational needs.
  • Proactively incorporate AI technologies into systems to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management on IT infrastructure decisions to maintain competitiveness.
  • Continuously scout for innovative software solutions to provide a competitive edge.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Background in an industrial environment
  • Proficient in several programming languages
  • Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project.
  • Expert level in Tekla software and modeling.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiar with a range of software and hardware
  • Previous technical support role
  • A passion for technology and a desire to continuously learn and grow
