The Systems Administrator (Warehouse/Distribution Management System) manages professional employees and/or supervisors or supervises large, complex/technical operational or production IHT teams. This role is differentiated by the Manager 2 IHT based on business needs of the organization relative to complexity, budget, and number of direct reports and visibility of projects

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the evaluation, selection, and implementation of systems or technologies.
  • Determines business requirements and needs, identifies key performance factors, defines projects and priorities, establishes standards related to department/program operations; recommends and allocates resources based on business priorities.
  • Responsible for the planning, organizing and staffing of the department; makes decisions on personnel actions (hiring, terminations, promotions, etc.); assigns personnel to projects and directs their activities; reviews and evaluates work and prepares performance reports.
  • Consults with personnel in other departments to coordinate activities; responsible for communication and acts as a liaison with internal departments.
  • Recommends strategies to assist the business in meeting its critical goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible; administers recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for business execution and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies.
  • Supports the organizations strategy and service delivery standards; monitors service levels and key service delivery performance indicators or metrics, and identifies areas where performance can be improved through changes.
  • Helps develop long-term plans taking into account trends and changing organizational needs; decisions and problem solving are guided by policies, procedures and department plan; receives guidance from senior manager/director.
  • Advises subordinates on administrative policies and procedures; evaluates and recommends changes to policies or procedures.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of department systems, programs and technology.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Education: Bachelors degree or experience in lieu of degree
