SSUSA Job #1109: PROJECT MANAGER OFFICE (PMO) MANAGER Job Description PROJECT MANAGEMENT OFFICE (PMO) MANAGER One of our financial clients is seeking an experienced Manager to oversee their Project Management Office. This person will work 5 days a week out of the main office in New York City. In this position, you will lead, oversee, and guide the operations of the Project Management Office (PMO). You will offer strategic and hands-on guidance to a team of Project Managers overseeing a diverse portfolio of projects. This includes assessing, testing, and validating changes to systems architecture, integrations, capabilities, program enhancements, process automation, and overall organizational capacities. Actively contribute to and take ownership of the PMO group. Conduct thorough reviews of portfolios to identify and manage risks, cross-dependencies, and ensure optimal resource allocation. Candidates must have experience in the financial industry, specifically in Capital Markets and Financing. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage projects including leading project teams. Develop comprehensive project plans covering resourcing, budget, design, build, testing, training, change management, communication, and go-live strategies, aligned with department requirements. Coordinate and manage scope, schedule, risks, and budgets of multiple projects to achieve organizational goals. Monitor and improve the department's project management processes for enhanced effectiveness. Lead and direct Project Managers to ensure project scope, planning, budgeting, approval, and team alignment support successful execution. Ensure transparency, alignment, and clear communication of strategic projects and resource impacts across the organization to stakeholders and governance committees. Manage, coach, and mentor staff to ensure proper application of project management methodologies and tools across projects. Ensure the team stays current with industry best practices and tools.
