Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Quality Management System to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This includes documentation control, procedures development, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the product development lifecycle to ensure that quality requirements are understood and met. Perform risk assessments, design reviews, and validation activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
  • Evaluate, qualify, and monitor suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components. Conduct supplier audits, assess supplier performance, and address supplier non-conformances to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction through statistical analysis, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing). Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and improve overall efficiency.
  • Develop and implement inspection and testing procedures to ensure product quality and conformance to specifications. Perform data analysis and trend monitoring to identify quality issues and drive corrective actions, as necessary.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and customers regarding quality-related issues. Investigate customer complaints, coordinate corrective actions, and communicate resolution to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain positive relationships.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to electronic manufacturing (e.g., ISO 9001, IPC standards). Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards through regular audits and assessments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in Quality Engineering is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a quality engineering role within the electronics manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of quality management principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulations applicable to electronic manufacturing, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO IPC-A-610, and IPC-A-620.
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies, including statistical process control (SPC), failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation using statistical software tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience with electronic manufacturing processes, including PCB assembly, soldering, and testing, is desirable.
