Overview:

This position will be a "hands on" development position focused primarily on supporting integration software development initiatives, real-time (ESB), and/or batch (ETL). This development position will also help reduce costs by reducing dependence on 3rd party vendors and providing technical leadership when vendors are used.

Responsibilities:
  • Guides architectural design as a prime subject matter expert in the area of Integration Development
  • Analyzes business data requirements to produce relevant architectural deliverables (business process flows, mapping documents, data flow diagrams, etc.)
  • Analyzes and prepares recommendations to address existing (and potential) trouble areas in integration systems
  • Responsible for developing, configuring, maintaining, and administering real-time (ESB) and/or batch (ETL) solutions
  • Debugs and resolves integration development related issues
  • Runs and monitors software performance tests on new and existing integration related systems for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
  • Serves as a liaison with IT App Owners, Infrastructure, Development, and Support teams
  • Assists in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications
  • Generates statistics, prepares, and writes reports for management and / or team members on the status of the software development process

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, or related field; six years of related experience; any suitable combination of experience and education will be considered
  • Ability to effectively work well with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise.
  • Strong development experience using IBM WebSphere Family tool sets including IBM Integration Bus v10, App Connect v11/12 and IBM MQ v8.0
  • In-depth knowledge of standards/technologies that enable messaging, including XML, WSDL, SOAP, JMS, REST, Swagger, JSON, HTTP and SSL
  • Strong working knowledge of DevOps approaches in Continues Integration and Continuous Deployment
  • Knowledge of Administration, performance tuning and development in IBM ACE
  • Nice to have IIB/ACE 12 certification
  • Nice to have familiarity with Agile methodologies and systems development life cycle processes, tools, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Nice to have other coding language experience like Java/.NET/C#, PL/SQL
  • Nice to have experience with Source Control tool like Azure DevOps Git, GitLab
  • Nice to have working knowledge of Cloud solutions and other application integration platforms like AWS, Azure API management, MuleSoft, Active MQ, Kafka etc.
  • Seven-plus years of experience in hands-on development. Three-plus years of experience in architecture and system design
  • College degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional travel between corporate offices and distribution center(s)
