San Antonio, United States Booz Allen Hamilton Full time
DevSecOps Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the DoD? What if you could find a position that is tailor made for your mix of development, engineering, and communication skills? Efficient software development teams make the most of their time by limiting the activities that take developers away from writing their code. That's why we need you, an experienced DevOps engineer, to help us shorten the time it takes to get critical tools developed.

As a DevOps engineer on our team, you'll contribute to modernization efforts to incorporate monitoring, automation, and container orchestration tools to increase scalability and availability of a large, complex lab-based development environment. Leverage DevSecOps expertise to incorporate modern software development approaches and tools to achieve higher team velocity through the prototyping, development, testing, and release lifecycles. Ensure an Infrastructure as Code (IAC) mindset first and incorporate continuous monitoring to ensure a secure development environment is maintained. This is an opportunity to broaden your experience in software engineering while helping to develop software that will completely transform workflows and make a real impact. Here, we invest in technology-and we'll invest in you. With access to continuing education resources, tuition assistance opportunities, and tech development programs, you'll keep your skills sharp as you work at the leading edge of tech. In this role, we are looking for a generalist that can support the deployment, troubleshooting, configuration, and interoperability of systems and software. Work with us as we build and test tools to transform the future.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience providing technical guidance to other engineers on automation and build tools
  • 5+ years of experience in an infrastructure, DevSecOps, or application development role
  • Experience with automation tools, including SaltStack, Ansible, or Puppet
  • Experience with automating CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with database and monitoring tools, including MySQL, MongoDB, EFK, or Prometheus
  • Experience with Linux engineering and administration
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with using Python for automation
  • Experience with installing, configuring, and managing Atlassian suite of development tools
  • Experience with modern infrastructure, including vSphere, networking security, or storage
  • Knowledge of containers and security technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes, Twistlock, Falco, or Clair
  • Ability to develop custom Kubernetes Operators
  • TS/SCI clearance
Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
